Christmas Will Be Late This Year

You wish me a Merry Christmas
And wonderful Holiday Cheer.
But I know in my heart, for me
Christmas will be late this year.

Decorations cheerfully fill the rooms
Lights are twinkling brightly on the tree.
But it just won't seem like Christmas
Without you here with me.

The aroma of Holiday cooking
Tempt the taste buds of everyone here.
Christmas fills their hearts with love
But for me it will be late this year.

For I will be looking forward
To a time not too far away.
When at last we'll join together
And celebrate our late Christmas Day.

Christmas is a beautiful time of the year.
For those who are alone, they can hold the beauty within
their hearts and dream of the time when they will no longer have
to celebrate the holidays in solitude.
Love can make any day seem like Christmas
if you truly believe.
