A
Tribute
to Anna by © Elaine Hall

~ REMEMBERING ANNA ~
She was the
sweetest lady
in the nursing home
smiled at everybody
As she sat there all alone
She'd always say hello to me
her spirit was joyful and fun
no one would ever guess her age
she just turned one hundred
and one
But the day she learned
her son had died
she never was the same
She'd talked about him
all the time
and always spoke his name
From that day on
she went down hill
though she had
other children too
but she mourned
for that one child
'cause he was only eighty two.
